The Sadhu
Variety reports that Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in another big screen adaption of a comic book, this one called "The Sadhu." Written by Virgin Comics co-founder Deepak Chopra, Cage plays a man named James Jenson, a soldier who travels to India during colonial times and transforms into a spiritual warrior. Sharad Devarajan, Virgin Comics CEO, said: "The Sadhu is a bold, visual epic that taps into one of India's most heralded spiritual traditions."

Bond Leaves Britain?
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are threatening to move the Bond franchise from Britain saying it's too expensive. Wilson blamed rising costs in the British capital and blasts the British Government for failing to help. He said: "London is the most expensive city in the world right now. To bring talent here and put them up for long periods of time and the cost of doing business here is a factor." Such a move could mean that "Casino Royale" would be the last Bond movie filmed at Pinewood Studios. A Spokesperson for the UK Film council said:  "We will be doing all we can to ensure that every film that can shoot in the UK, including Bond, does."

Evolution's Captain
Chase Palmer whose fictional mystery thriller about Alfred Hitchcock, "Number 13," is scheduled to begin shooting this winter with Dan Fogler as the Master of Suspense,  has another controversial project in the offing.  Based on the book "Evolution's Captain: The Dark Fate of the Man Who Sailed Charles Darwin Around the World," written by Peter Nichols, the story follows Robert FitzRoy, the captain of the H.M.S. Beagle, and the relationship he developed with Charles Darwin.

Double Cross
Infomercial producer Mark Williams plans to film the novel "Double Cross," the story Sam Giancana. Giancana, nicknamed "Momo" because of his unpredictable vicious behavior, was assassinated in 1975 just before he was to appear before a Senate committee investigating CIA and Mafia links to plots to kill Fidel Castro. The 1992 book says that he ordered the deaths of John F. Kennedy and Mailyn Monroe. Alfonse Ruggiero Jr. will write the screenplay.

Til Death Do Us Part
Court TV is producing its first original scripted series, "'Til Death Do Us Part." The show will be hosted by "The Groom Reaper," played by filmmaker John Waters. 13 half-hour episodes have been ordered, each of which will dramatize stories inspired by true stories of happily married couples who end up with one murdering the other. Waters says he feels "right at home as an actor" among the "unbelievably bizarre and sometimes gruesomely funny stories." The show will premeire in early 2007 on Court TV and Canadian broadcaster Global Television (under the title "Love You to Death").
