The
Dirt: Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band
Motley
Crue's 2001 autobiography "The Dirt:
Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band"
will go before the cameras soon. Band members Vince
Neil, Nikki Sixx,
Mick Mars and Tommy
Lee will be played by unknown actors, but it's the cameos that
are making news. Christopher
Walken will play Ozzy
Osbourne, who toured with the band and appears in the book snorting
a line of live ants and taking LSD each day for a year. Val
Kilmer has been signed to play David
Lee Roth, at the height of his battle with reality. Vince
Neil said: "How funny is that going to
be. We're doing big, giant cameos with those people."
Sin
City 2 Not Going To Happen?
There
are rumours all over the net that "Sin
City 2" has been postponed indefinitely
and Angelina Jolie
being pregnant again may be at the root of it. Robert
Rodriguez was holding off for her, wanting to cast her in the key
role of Ava Lord, the 'Dame to Kill For.'
She has recently let the production know that she wouldn't be available,
the sudden shut down seems like a logical course of action. Those same
rumor mongers have hinted that Rodriguez has just grown a bit tired of
the whole Sin City thing, possibly having suffered so many disagreements
with Frank Miller
(who can reportedly be a bit arrogant about and controlling of his story
and characters) that he could pass on the entire thing.
A
Jealous Ghost
Megan
Holley is set to adapt the A.N. Wilson
novel "A Jealous Ghost"
for Paramount Vantage.
Kirsten Dunst will
star and produce the supernatural thriller that tells of a young woman
who, while studying in London, begins a relationship with one of her professors,
and then starts seeing demons.

This
is a show that I will be watching. That aside, I'm not sure CBS
knows what it truly has here. Somebody said, "Damn,
that House is successful.
We should have a show about a Doctor who is not a nice guy, but brilliant."
And, like Henry II speaking of Beckett, so it was done. But along the way
to creating this drama about brain surgery, someone inserted a lyrical
note that was unexpected. Counter balancing Stanley
Tucci as the no-nonsense genius (he refers to the brain as "Wires
in a box") they brought in Mark
Feuerstein who is touched by the wonder that is the mind. What
they got here is a cousin to one of my favorite medical shows of all time.
If they let the cast expand a little and continue touching the heart as
well as the mind, this could be the "Chicago
Hope" that was. There is nothing more complimentary that I can
say than that. Of course they could screw it up in coming weeks (the show
debuts Tue. Nov. 14 10:00 PM EST, 9:00 CST) but I am ever hope ful that
this one will continue the promise of the pilot. But, that's the way the
mind works, isn't it?
Shrek
the Halls
ABC
plans the Christmas special "Shrek the
Halls," to be voiced by Mike
Myers, Cameron Diaz,
Eddie Murphy and Antonio
Banderas. The show will debut on December 2007. Sources said the
pact is for 15 years, with ABC set to rerun the special around the holidays
every year. Stephen McPherson,
ABC Entertainment
president, said: "Family classics are a
cornerstone of our brand, and 'Shrek the Halls' will provide warm memories
year after year and be a great addition to our library of holiday favorites."
Jeffrey Katzenberg,
DreamWorks Animation
CEO, said: "The time has come to
celebrate the joys of the holiday season with Shrek and his family and
see how Christmas would play out in his world. Having this special on broadcast
television is another really important piece of how we're trying to build
this franchise." Katzenberg said the TV
special will be pick up where DreamWorks' upcoming "Shrek
the Third" leaves off, and be "very
much in keeping with the style and sensibility of the movies."
