SERENDIPITY CINEMA"Million Dollar Legs" (1932) Movie Review
It is W. C. Fields and a host of other comics from the 30's doing the kind of silly nonsense that would be right at home under a Monty Python banner, but with all the references way out of most current viewers' reach. It was made for the L.A. Olympics and lampoons movies and popular culture of its time. Taken in those terms it boarders on brilliance. If you are willing to listen tom comedy that your grand parents might have thought funny (in some of your cases, great-grand parents, god save me) then you could have a surrealistic experience here. Here's the cast: Jack Oakie. . . . Migg Tweeny W.C. Fields. . . . The President Andy Clyde. . . . The Major-Domo Lyda Roberti. . . . Mata Machree Susan Fleming. . . . Angela Ben Turpin. . . . Mysterious Man Hugh Herbert. . . . Secretary of the Treasury George Barbier. . . . Mr. Baldwin, President Baldwin Brush Co. Dickie Moore. . . . Willie, Angela's Brother If you have an idea for a Serendipity Cinema, or want to comment email here --posted by Wayne
