"I Bury The Living" Movie Review
73.
I Bury The Living
This
is a cheap, cheap, cheap movie that, even so,
has
a lot of truly chilling creepy moments.
Richard
Boone works in a cemetary office
and
when he alters the map of grave plots,
people
die. If he changes the right pins in the map,
will
they come back? And what will they be like if they do come back?
It
could have been done on live tv,
that
is how little action is taking place in the film,
but
you will get a feeling of terror that
is
straight from the actor and director.
Here
is the cast:
Richard Boone. . . . Robert Kraft
Theodore
Bikel. . . . Andy McKee
Peggy
Maurer. . . . Ann Craig
Robert
Osterloh. . . . Lt. Clayborne
Herbert
Anderson. . . . Jess Jessup
Howard
Smith. . . . George Kraft
Russ
Bender. . . . Henry Trowbridge
Glen
Vernon. . . . Stuart Drexel
Lynette
Bernay. . . . Elizabeth Drexel
Ken
Drake. . . . Bill Honegger
Cyril
Delevanti. . . . William Isham
There
is no blood, no big special effects,
the
music is understated for the most part and
the
greatest chills come with Boone alone
on
the screen. If you don't need slashers and
don't
fear thinking, this might be one of the truest
examples
of "Serendipity Cinema" you might ever be lucky enough to discover.
Turn
off the lights and have a great late night time.
