We're not even looking at anyone else. Tom's been trying to get a film version of Magnum made for years, so if anything, imagine's merely the steam to guide his loco. And really, could imagine anyone else carrying that moustache as well as he does?." ------------ The Blew Lagoon? The WB is remaking The Blue Lagoon as a TV movie, Variety reports. The film — loosely based on the 1980s feature featuring Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins — is being produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers who brought Chicago to the big screen and It's All Relative to the small screen. If it's better or worse than the original, why do it? ------------ Long Trailers & Short Films Besides the Apple.com site already on our links page, we found a nice little UK site with a nice variety of other stuff: Dave's Tariler Page. ------------ ![]() ------------ Xbox Price Cut $30 Microsoft Corp. on Monday cut the price on Xbox video game consoles by $30 to $149.99, a move that had been expected at some point before mid-May in order to spur sales. The Xbox price cut will be effective Tuesday, while the software cuts take effect Monday and Tuesday. Xbox was released priced at $299 in November 2001, dropped to $199 in May 2002 at the E3 industry trade show and then went to $179 in May 2003, at the same event. ABC's reality show about plastic surgery transformations is moving out of primetime's deadliest time slot -- the Thursday 9 p.m. hour, where the competition includes CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and NBC's "The Apprentice" -- to Wednesday 10 p.m. as of April 14. To make room for "Makeover," ABC will move troubled midseason drama "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital" from Wednesday 10 p.m. to Thursday 9 p.m. as of April 1. "Kingdom's Hospital" had an encouraging two-hour premiere this month but has since done a nose dive in the ratings. Even against its tough competition, the hourlong "Makeover" has consistently posted a ratings spike in its second half-hour. ABC executives hope that the Wednesday switch will allow "Makeover" to capitalize on the strong lead-in from 9 p.m.'s "The Bachelor," which returns to ABC's lineup with a two-hour premiere April 7. Still, "Makeover" will have to face NBC's long-dominant "Law & Order." Meanwhile, Fox is planning to test a Thursday 9 p.m. time-slot shuffle this week by temporarily moving "Wonderfalls" from Friday to Thursday to pair the critically praised series up with fellow freshman drama "Tru Calling." "Forever Eden" will move from Thursday 9 p.m. to "Wonderfalls"' Friday 9 p.m. time slot, there it will run in tandem with 8 p.m. dating-reality show "Playing It Straight."
