Sharky's New Machine
Warner Brothers is about to revisit a highly underrated Burt Reynolds 1981 cop film, Sharky's Machine. Wouldn't that make them likely?) team and to go after a group of brutal bad guys, who are good examples of why you shouldn't use the drugs they sell.

VH1's "Gaydar" Comes Out Of The Closet
VH1 has a pilot for a show to be called "Gaydar," it will be a reality show about celebrity guests trying to guess whether contestants are homosexual. Filming of the half-hour pilot is under way in Los Angeles, with Brian Dunkleman ("American Idol") acting as the host. There is (at least on this pilot episode) a three-person panel of celebrity guests and a permanent cast member encountering three contestants. The panelists try to determine, by playing a series of games with them, whether contestants are gay or straight. The panelists play for charity. If "Gaydar" get picked up, it also could conceivably be a programing cornerstone for Outlet, the gay-themed cable channel now in development at VH1 parent company Viacom.

Janis Joplin In Pink?
Alecia Moore, better known as the singer Pink, is set to make her screen starring debut as Joplin in a Penelope Spheeris-directed indie film with a summer start date. Serendipity Cinema: (This is a Once A Week Feature)
A Recommended Film You May Never Have Heard Of,
But Really Ought To See.
#2. The Enchanted Cottage.
Some will call it a "Chick Flick," others just
a "Romantic Love Story" and some might even call
it "Fantasy," but this film is about the power of
hope, the magic of love. With magnificent performances
and simple honesty, it paints a picture that would
never be attempted today. It is glorious, and will
leave no one who sees it unchanged. If you have a
romantic bone in your body seek it out, and you will
thank me for pointing you in its direction.
