Is That Hidden Staircase?
Nancy
Drew has been the subject of at least a half a dozen films
and a couple
of TV series, and now the teenaged detective is going to return to the
big screen.
Andy Fleming
will direct the latest adaptation of the
Carolyn Keene creation, titled simply "Nancy
Drew." Holly
Brix is writing the script for an updated version the beloved character.
Interman
New
Line has optioned the Jeff Parker graphic novel, Interman.
Alexi
Hawley is set to adapt the material. The tale is of a young man
who, after being raised in seclusion, discovers he has been genetically
engineered to be a superhuman killing machine. The government and military,
who were his creators, are after him, and he has to escape while fighting
his instinct to kill.

Here is
a story
brought to me by correspondent Robin. Alan
Tudyk who is known for being a regular on Firefly
(and now the movie "Serenity
") has replaced Hank Azaria
in the cast of the Broadway show "
Spamalot ." Azaria had to leave the production to work on a second
season of his Showtime series "Huff
." This is a good sign if you are a fan of that show, as it has not been
officially picked up, but this gives a clue in that direction. Tudyk
will be playing Lancelot.
Reality
Channel Goes Online
The long
awaited Fox Reality Channel
has premeired on cable systems serving more than 18.5 million subscribers.
A statement from their website said: "That`s
more than any other new network in recent history."
What the channel will show, beyond
Fox
shows in rerun, has not yet been posted.
Pilgrim
Gets Precious
The "Scott
Pilgrim`s Precious Little Life " by Bryan
Lee O`Malley three-part series comic book series has been in
development hell for a while now. Now things may be getting on track. With
Michael Bacall to adapt and Edgar
Wright to direct, Universal
Pictures and Marc Platt Productions
are moving forward with the story of "a
suburban slacker who finds himself in a kung fu tale, battling his dream
girl`s seven evil ex-boyfriends to win her hand."
